These characters succum to helplessness and platitudes, and I often feel the same way trying to help loved ones I know struggling IRL. I still, however foolish or cheesy, believe in a God of love that gives hope a fighting chance in our age of increasing nihilism. Maybe that’s an empty platitude to you as well, somedays it can feel like it to me… but somedays it’s just enough. Peace wherever you’re at.
There’s a lot to love in this one.
The dialogue between nihilism and hope is great. So many, myself included, have a Jon and a Dylan/Zeke in their head talking this out constantly.
