Beware, you will find banana metaphors for addiction and post-apocalyptic coffee shops with Grumpy Cat… if you dare proceed.
There are two songs for the price of one today - since one transitions into the other, I wanted to keep that “album tracklist feel”.
I will include here both the audio versions, but also the music video to “State of Nature”, a bit of a banana infused fever dream.
These dive into cynicism at a macro and micro level… pessimism in the state of humanity to change and the ability for oneself to change. Of course this takes place in the context of a story, where this zombie character is struggling to overcome his desires for flesh (see chapter 4) and this is not meant to be a good attitude to have by any means.
But with the state of the world being rather ripe for the Nihilist inside us all, do you have any tips for getting out of this kind of pessimistic doom cycle? I would love to hear your thoughts and musings. (about that or anything else that comes to mind when listening)
Haha, I never heard of Jessie Buckley or Men! Every sound in that sound should be organic if I remember right. Just good ol fashioned foolery with effects.
The only extra sounds in the album are a few copyright free stuff... duck and cover, war of the worlds, kids laughing stock sound effect, and a Phil Vischer recording he sent me for his guest appearance in my radio drama in college ;)
Okay, I’m nearly positive that “uh!” sound in song #3 is Jessie Buckley making echoes in the tunnel scene from Men. Am I right??
